Barwon Health, Geelong has an exciting opening for an enthusiastic and innovative Bone Densitometry Technologist (Medical Imaging Technologist/Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Registered Nurse) to join our well-respected, large health service on permanent full time and a part time maternity leave relief basis.

Located in The Douglas Hocking Research Institute of The Geelong Hospital and equipped with 3 state-of-the-art Lunar Prodigy scanners, the Bone Density Department scans over 3,000 clinical patients and 1,000 research participants per annum. The provision of a quality service with a strong customer focus ensures the Department is the leading bone density service in the Barwon region and maintains its impeccable international reputation for research and clinical trials.
You will be either a Regisetered Nurse (Division 1), a qualified Medical Radiation Technologist or Nuclear Medicine Technologist who can work effectively in a multidisciplinary team as well as working unsupervised. Computer skills, the ability to organise and adapt to changing demands, good communication skills and an empathetic disposition towards patients are essential requirements if you wish to excel in this role. Previous experience in a clinical setting is desirable but not mandatory.
